Readybug is made for young readers and their families, so it is built to collect nothing. We do not collect, store, share or sell any personal data.

What stays on the device

Learning progress: which words were practised, how fast, streaks, badges and best scores.
Settings: the starting level, the chosen shell colour, the voice accent and the reminder time.

This information is saved only in a file on the device. It is never sent to us or to anyone else. Deleting the app deletes it. Grown-ups can also clear progress at any time under Grown-ups → Reset progress.

No accounts, ads, analytics or tracking

Readybug has no sign-in, no advertising, no analytics or crash-reporting tools, and no third-party code that collects data. It does not use the advertising identifier and works fully offline. Words are spoken by the voice built into iOS; nothing is recorded.

Reminders

If a grown-up turns on daily reminders, they are scheduled by iOS on the device itself. No server is involved.

Purchases

The optional Family Pack is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; we never see payment details or the Apple Account. Every purchase is confirmed by the device itself.

Children

Because no personal data leaves the device, Readybug does not collect personal information from children as defined by COPPA or the GDPR.
